Overview
The Ironvoice Group Student Athlete Scholarship was created by Garry Laboucan (President) and Nicholas Laboucan (CEO), both former student athletes who played hockey and other sports throughout high school and university. Their experiences taught them the powerful connection between athletics and success with the principle's of hard work, dedication, and determination that have become the foundation of their business practices and leadership values.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:

Be a current high school or post-secondary student in Canada.

Be actively participating in a recognized sport (school, club, or community-based).

Maintain a minimum average of 65% or higher.

Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and community involvement.

Submit a short essay describing how sports have influenced their personal and academic journey.

Award Value

Scholarships range from $1,500 to $3,000, based on merit and demonstrated need.

Recipients may also receive mentorship or internship opportunities through Ironvoice Group and its partner organizations.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit:

A completed application form.

Proof of enrollment in an educational institution.

A recent transcript or report card.

A one-page essay (max 500 words) answering:
“How has being a student athlete shaped who you are today, and how do you plan to give back to your community?” -
One letter of reference (from a coach, teacher, or community leader).
